Laid in is a Typed Letter Signed by the author, Will James dated September 11, 1930 written from James Ranch in Pryor, Montana, in which he thanks Kelly for reviewing his book. I can see that you wasnt only reviewing a book when you wrote what you did. You put something down that you wanted people to know and you wouldnt of cared if youd had to pay to get that writing out.... Itll please you to know that Lone Cowboy is going great. If Im to do any more work I can only answer but one fifth of the good letters I get from readers who praise it. So you got a lot of backers on what you said in your review. All around, Im pretty daggoned tickled....
