SIGNED FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING (STATED). W/partial split to interior binding.

This is a first edition, first printing of Valley of the Dolls SIGNED by the author, Jacqueline Susann, on the front free endpaper, without any inscription or personalization. Please note that the book appears to have been hard opened at the title page, resulting in a partial split/hard opening to the interior binding there (see photo six). The book otherwise is in very good condition but for light bumping to the spine ends, very light soiling to the spine, slight shelfwear and edgewear, toning and light soiling to the edges of the page block, some very light and even toning and some minor soiling to a few of the interior pages, including a small, faint corner spot to the bottom lower corner that continues for maybe 60 pages or so (see photo 17).

Please see photographs as to condition. The famous dust jacket, with its depiction of multicolored pills splayed over the front cover - which jacket is NOT price clipped - is in very good condition but for some small tears, chips, creases, rubs and scuffs. Please see photos as to condition.
