From Greendale to Popkum and from Yarrow to Chilliwack, a series of small communities developed along these roads, often with just a school, general store (with post office) and church. These centres have grown over the years as urbanization has swelled the local population, but - and this is important to the identity of Chilliwack - people still say that they come from Vedder Crossing or Rosedale or Sardis. This book is an attempt to, at the very least, recognize that Chilliwack is a community of villages spread along these older heritage routes. Black and white photographs throughout. Excellent condition - contents are like new except author's signature and possibly a blank page may have been previously removed - see pictures.
