Hardcover in fa ux leather with tipped in image. No dust jacket as issued.
This absolutely essential Peter Beard book centers on his portraits, relating an extremely detailed account of the artist's work. The book, finely edited by Peter T. Tunney, begins with early childhood photos of Beard and containing exemplary images from all of his projects: The End of the Game, Longing for Darkness, the diaries, a liberal sprinkling of fashion photos, and many other unpublished photographs. Finely crafted with faux leather covers and exquisite printing.The boards are clean with very light wear. Internally, the major flaw is that something was glued and then unprofessionally and carelessly removed from the title page peeling away part of the paper as well as creating a hole in the image on page 15.
There is also a small tear along the side edge of page 14. The remaining pages and images are gorgeous. Hint of tanning to page edges.
Would have been graded very good or better had the title page been undamaged. SIGNED twice by Peter Tunney.
