The book has been Signed and Inscribed by the Author on the front endpaper and in addition there ia a typed letter to the same person tipped onto the front endpaper and signed by Amery and it's dated 5th November 1953. The Letter discusses a conversation about Suez and also the Author has presented the book to Mrs Assheton in which he establishes that the volume contains something of his travelling and climbing in his middle age.

Illustrated with coloured frontispiece and over 60 b&w photographs. Lovely collector's item with Author Signature and letter as well included. The book has a Firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine. Contents remain nice and clean internally. 8vo 251pp First Edition 1st Impression [1946].
