The Heritage Press / Nonesuch Press. Special green binding with ornate lettering. One of 1000 copies of this special edition, bound in Morocco and SIGNED in ink by Rockwell. This is the Heritage Press binding with "Heritage" at base of spine.

Gilt lettering on the front board is bright and intact. Cracking and chipping of colored leather along the spine. A good deal of the gilt lettering chipped away on the spine. Some of the tooling on the spine has also chipped away. For the title the L, E, S of Leaves is missing. The R, A, S, S in Grass is missing.

Walt Whitmans name is intact. The M, P, L in Complete is lacking as is the U, N, A, B, R, I, D in unabridged. And Heritage is complete and intact. The cover is now mylar protected. Prior owner name on first free endpaper.
