New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1962. Original grey cloth, dust-jacket (slight bowing to covers, slight damage and light soiling to dust-jacket). An inscribed copy of the first edition of Frost's final book of poetry.
This collection of new poems, was published the year before Frost's death. For more than 4 decades Tim [Stroup] was professor of philosophy at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. He was a moral philosopher and world expert on Edward Westermarck. He authored Westermarck's Ethics and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography entry. In books, articles, and the classroom he developed an ethical theory inspired by Westermarck. Tim's search for justice manifested through his teaching; students who took his course on ethics and law found it transformative.
