Signed Robert Coover The Origin of the Brunists 1st UK Ed 1st Novel HCDW 1967
Signed by the author, Robert Coover, on the title page without inscription, with First Published in Great Britain by Arthur Baker Ltd in 1967, this is a first impression of the First British Edition of The Origin of the Brunists, Coover's first novel and winner of the 1867 William Faulkner Foundation award for best first novel. The book is in very good condition in a well intact straight firm binding, not quite as tight as fine. Exterior boards are very nice with bright gilt lettering to spine and no bumps to corners. Top page ends are somewhat toned in spots, its principal flaw. Remaining age ends are lightly toned typical for British paper. Interior contents are fine with no underlining, no names or errant marks save a short two lined small lettered penciled note to top FFEP regarding the book 1. UK Ed of Coover's first book etc though it's really his first novel. In an archival cover, the rare dust wrapper is priced and in very good condition with a chip at heel and some soiling/tanning to rear panel (edges mostly) and a couple of soil spots on spine.
