At 29 years old, he was an avid reader who wanted to make his living from books. His business revolved around publishing beautifully illustrated classic titles in relatively small quantities with club members paying a subscription.

This is one of the most highly sought after ones. ABOUT THE BOOK: Count Dracula, a 15th-century prince, is condemned to live off the blood of the living for eternity. Young lawyer Jonathan Harker is sent to Dracula's castle to finalise a land deal, but when the Count sees a photo of Harker's fiancée, Mina, the spitting image of his dead wife, he imprisons him and sets off for London to track her down.

It is SIGNED by the illustrator FELIX HOFFMAN, and only 1500 of these were ever produced, this copy being 1164. CONDITION: Both book and slipcase in GREAT condition for their age (55 years old). Slipcase is in GOOD condition with some rubs and splits/cracks to the edges, something very common in Limited Editions Club volumes. The book is in ALMOST LIKE-NEW condition with no major flaws with the exception of minor shelfwear and contains many of the wood cut pictures can be seen in many editions of the Easton Press copies (SEE PICS). NO ATTACHED BOOKPLATES, WRITING FROM PREVIOUS OWNER, ETC.
