Sheffield Lab S-9 legendary 1st Direct-to-Disc LP Signed by its Artist/Founder

Lincoln Mayorga and Distinguished Colleagues by Sheffield Lab S-9 LP. Signed & Rare 1st release by the legendary label who introduced Direct-to-Disc recordings using all custom made mics, boards and lathes using vacuum tube technology. Early pressing stored away for nostalgia.

For over forty years, the award-winning natural sound of Sheffield Lab has been recognized throughout the world as the reference standard for musical and sonic excellence. Sheffield is the label that single-handedly brought audiophile recordings to high profile status with the astonishingly realistic quality of its direct-to-disc recordings. Very hard to find first pressing of the Sheffield Lab recordings signed by its artist and Sheffield co-founder, Lincoln Mayorga. This direct to disc recording was done in a rental studio in Los Angeles in 1971. It was recorded directly to disc (LP) and as thus removes any mid-recording transfers which result in clear, realistic sound.

The front image of the LP shows the type of lathe equipment that the album was cut on. This album is in mint condition for its age. Never played, slight yellowing on the back jacket and the LP itself is virtually mint with no scratching whatsoever. From the home of a retired Sheffield President who keeps his items in very clean. Rice paper dust jacket included.
