Signed "W Awdry" to the Foreword page. An excellent example of the Thomas the Tank Engine Annual Annual for 1980. British annuals are intended to be given as Christmas presents and are dated for the following year, so this book was published late in 1979. 10.5 inches by 7.75 inches. The cover features art by Edgar Hodges, the illustrator of the whole book.

The book famously features a six-page tour of Reverend Awdry's own model railway layout. The original laminated boards are in very attractive condition with just a little very light wear to the spine-ends and some light marking (see pictures). Free of inscriptions, puzzles not completed. An unusually nice example of this scarce book.
