Internally clean with no inscriptions, and certainly no crayoning! A superb copy of a Christmas classic and rare in this condition. Comes with FDC Christmas stamps, dated 1990, which have been signed in blue pen by Raymond Briggs. These were signed for a fan, who had sent the stamps to Briggs asking him to sign them. Briggs obliged and has hand written a little note, also in blue pen, stating -'Tony. They're not my Snowman of course! Obviously the note is referring to the fact that the stamps are not of Briggs' Snowman, they are Isle of Man Post Office Christmas stamps. It is exceptionally rare to see personal notes written in this manner from Briggs, especially ones referring to The Snowman. A true classic for both children and adults alike! A magical Christmas or birthday present or a fantastic group lot for any Raymond Briggs fan or collector.
