His is a Very Good + Copy of this book in Publisher's original black cloth lettered in a vibrant red to spine and front board in a Very Good Dust-wrapper with a chip to the top edge of the rear cover and smaller loss to head of spine. Not clipped to front flap. Illustrated with a large folding map a title page vignette, frontispiece 35 plates from photographs and two sketch maps. Tipped onto the front pastedown is a handwritten letter in ink from the Author Eric Shipton dated 25.9.38 with Royal Geographical Society address and it reads....'
