His is a Near Fine Copy of this Book in original tan coloured cloth with vivid and bright blue title lettering to spine and the upper cover in the rare dust-jacket graded Near Fine given it's age and which has only modest rubbing to spine tips and outer edges, with very light spotting showing towards top edge of the lower cover.

This copy has been flat signed by Eric Shipton Author and Mountaineer on the Title Page. The binding of the book remains firm with no hinge weakness and there is no leaning or rolling to spine.

Contents remain clean internally and the book is superbly illustrated with many evocative and atmostpheric black and white pictures. It's really a book of pictures with 92 in total of this reconnaissance of the region of Mount Everest and described as an indispensable background to the pending attempt on Everest.
