351 at foot of the publication page image. Signed and Dated by the author on the title page in blue ink.

With a charming dedication to his publisher'Desmond Flower'. Made one month after the book was first published, which reads.

With many kinds of thanks. Some spotting and foxing to early pages. Blue cloth board is a little faded with some noticeable deterioration to top of the cloth on the spine as shown in images. Silver title on spine also faded. The'bookclub' jacket is good and original to this particular'publisher owned' first edition, with slight toning on top of inner flaps, plus minor creasing on front, top right-hand corner.

No tape repairs, or restoration.
