RARE 1ST / 1ST EDITION of MR RABBIT'S CHRISTMAS WISH. SIGNED BY CHARLES VAN SANDWYK. A superb book, published in 2004 and signed on the title page by the author and illustrator, Charles Van Sandwyk. It is a 1st Edition / 1st Printing with its original metallic green wrapper (the 2nd Printing in 2007 has a non-metallic darker green wrapper with red and green highlights), with full colour Mr Rabbit illustration to the front cover. Only 2000 copies of the 1st Printings were produced, so they are quite rare, especially signed. Beautifully illustrated with 8 tipped-in plates from coloured paintings of animals and additional sketches. The book illustrates Mr Rabbit's Christmas wishes for his friends - some cheese, brandy, and a Christmas hat of brown twig and snowberry for the mice, a full Christmas stocking for the squirrels, and a new red fur coat for Mrs Fox, the illustrations really are an absolute delight, a book to treasure, it really is stunning throughout.

In mint condition with absolutely no damage. It will be very carefully packaged (double boxed) and sent tracked and signed. He has also illustrated Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for them, which is also very popular. His books are highly collectable with collectors worldwide seeking the rarer limited edition items.
