The ghost settled into the hollow of the chair, swirling like a spiral nebula. Boston: Little, Brown and Company, (1967). Original cloth green cloth stamped in magenta including vignette of a sleeping cat.

Illustrated by Bacon with 16 full-page, 20 half-page and numerous smaller black-and-white illustrations throughout. Inscribed by Bacon on front endpaper.
