Whitman: The Poet-Liberator of Woman. Author: Mabel MacCoy Irwin Title: Whitman: The Poet-Liberator of Woman Publication: New York: Published by the Author, 1905. Publisher's cloth boards with gilt titling and decoration. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: To Florence Wyman Richardson, with warms regards of the author.
Richardson was a fellow and noted suffragette who organized the St. The former copy of the Theosophical Society of St.Louis, one of the first in the United States, with their pocket and stamps at the endpapers and paste-downs and their partial label at the spine. Shows some marginal shelf rubbing of the edges and corners, slight discoloration of the spine, otherwise the binding is secure, the text-block is clean and exceptionally unmarked, and the boards remain distinct.
