First edition first print hardback of CONFESSIONS OF AN ACTOR by Laurence Olivier and published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 1982. Signed to a previous owner by Olivier on the half title page. Includes erratum slip correcting an error to a sentence that runs from the bottom of page 260 to the top of page 261.

The book is in near fine condition (burgundy cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with light creasing to the head and tail of the spine. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket which has fraying to the head of the spine, light rubbing to edges and corners and a 2 cm closed tear to the bottom edge of the rear cover. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions. Laurence Olivier was a true legend. No classical actor had ever been such a dazzling star.
