There is an inscription to Peter Parker, who was to become The Chairman of The British Railways Board. In recollection of our work together 1954/56 with many happy memories'.

Underneath a further note' The Hartley Collection is now safely housed in the Boston Museum of Fine Art'. The condition of the book is compromised by damage to the spine top.

Otherwise there is usual age related foxing to the endpapers and light toning throughout, but otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. The blue cloth cover with gilt lettering is, other than that mentioned in reasonable condition with very little shelf wear. There is a little fading to the top rear and the spine is tanned.
