First edition 1940 signed by both Charis and Edward. Duell, Sloan, & Pierce, 1940. Book Condition: Fine to Very Fine. Dust Jacket Included, with slight discoloration to the spine-end, as well as a Gaylord Duast Jacket Protector. A Very Fine copy in shiny black cloth stamped in silver (very minor rubbing to spine-ends), in a Near Fine first issue jacket (grey with white lettering), with slight wear to spine-ends.

This copy was SIGNED by Edward Weston and Charis Wilson Weston on free front end-paper, on the inside cover, isncribed in pencil: "Carmel 12 October 1944". 127 pages with 97 Images by Weston.

The results of a photographic grant to photograph the Western United States, funded by the a Guggenheim Foundation. I have owned this book since 2008, and have only taken it from the Glass Book Case it has been stored maybe 3 or 4 times.
