First edition in first issue dust jacket. Jacket with first issue points: Front flap with blurb and jacket credit and with no Times review.

Rear flap is blank except title, author, Cape and price of 10s 6d on bottom left corner and rear panel with pencil drawing of Fleming by Bartlett, with blurb of Fleming's life below. Full black cloth with red heart stamp on front board and red lettering on the spine.

Slight bump to fore-edge of front board. Jacket with some expert restoration at spine ends and flap fold ends. A bit of light staining and dust soiling to jacket. Overall a near fine copy. First edition in scarce first issue jacket showing price of 10s.
