Description: A very nice example of the first printing of the author's second novel, published when he was 22. Original cloth hardback in original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is complete and unclipped, showing original 10s 6d price, and is in attractive condition, with some wear, creasing and chipping to the edges (see picture). The book itself is in very nice condition having been protected by the dustwrapper. Very slight browning to endpapers. Clean, bright and free of inscriptions. A very nice copy of this scarce book.
