PRESENTATION COPY, WITH AN ORIGINAL SKETCH OF A MISSING PIECE. First Edition, Early Printing, Presentation copy: With an extremely scarce, large signed sketch/drawing by Silverstein located on the end papers of a very early printing of "The Missing Piece".

Shel Silverstein sketched the'rolling ball' of the'missing piece' character, and then added an oversized wedge (which is the missing piece) with the inscription "For Mary Jane, With Love Shel Silverstein". The drawing was further embellished by a long drawing of the horizon line across the entire set of both end papers! Tiny ink smudge to the right edge of the horizon line. The book is clean beautiful condition with crisp grey/tan cloth boards, with strong unfaded titles to the spine. The book has sharp corners with no edgewear.

The binding is tight and square. The end papers have no owner names, no book plates, and no inscriptions.

Beautiful clean, highly collectible example of this title, appearing internally as unread. The scarce original dust jacket is in near fine condition with no rips, no chips, no edgewear, no fading, and no rubbing. A beautiful example of this dust jacket.
