Bound in is a full page original, signed Sandzen print, titled PINES BY THE ARROYO, facing the Introduction. This 1925 lithograph is cited in Charles Pelham Greenoughs work THE GRAPHIC WORK OF BIRGER SANDZEN, as the Frontispiece for deluxe copy of In The Mountains, 125 printed. The image measuring 7-7/8 x 5-7/8.The print is pencil titled and signed by Birger Sandzen. In addition, the volume display twenty additional full page reproductions of Sandzen lithographs, linocut prints and woodcut prints. The volume is in near FINE condition with two apologies. Front hinge paper displays a 4 split and a former owners name is written on the front endpaper. Black cloth over boards binding with embossed, gilded title. Boards are gently scuffed and soiled.
