Approx Size: 5.75 x 8.25 inches (15.5 x 21 cms). Inscribed by Joseph Gibbs to the front free endpaper:'A. Langley, with best wishes from the author, December 1898'.

Red cloth binding with gilt panel to front board and blind panel to rear board. Top page edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Slight fading to spine, a little bumping to ends of spine, two small stains to rear board. Foxing to page edges, patches of foxing throughout text.

Gibbs was an English cricketer who died aged only 31. This classic work describes the villages of Ablington, Bibury and the surrounding area at the end of the nineteenth century.

Gibbs owned the 16th century Ablington Manor. Overall Condition is Very Good.
