1931 PHOBIA John Vassos 1ST EDITION SIGNED Illustrated ART DECO Fears

This is a rare 1st edition copy of John Vassos' "Phobia" published in 1931 by Covici Friede in New York. This particular copy is signed by the author and is numbered 93 out of a limited run of 1500. The book is a fascinating exploration of the intersection of psychology and art, with beautiful Art Deco illustrations by John Vassos. Each phobia is paired with an illustration. The pages are in great condition with slight yellowing from age.

It looks like the only markings is the endearing message on the front page from Xmas 1931. The cover is debossed with a metallic silver on the face and spine. It has wear on the faces, spine and corners.

It looks like it was stored on a shelf exposed to sun and the fabric has faded at the spine and little bit at the top.
