1929 Five and Ten Fannie Hurst SIGNED 1st Edition+Handwritten Letter & Clipping
1929 first edition of Five and Ten by Fannie Hurst, published by Harper & Brothers (New York & London). This is a signed presentation/association copy, inscribed by Fannie Hurst to the original owner. Tipped into the book is an original handwritten autograph letter signed (ALS) by the author on Hotel Billings, Brattleboro, Vermont stationery. Also preserved with the book is a contemporary newspaper article about Hurst kept by the recipient. The correspondence and ephemera have remained with this volume, giving the copy clear personal provenance rather than a standalone signature. Condition: Good vintage condition for a 1929 hardcover. Boards show edge wear and corner rubbing, with age toning to pages. Five interior pages were previously folded and remain creased; they have not been pressed or restored to preserve originality.
The tipped-in letter and clipping remain intact as found. An authentic literary artifact combining signature, autograph material, and period ephemera from one of the most widely read American authors of the early 20th century. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description. Carefully flattened through normal storage - no heat, moisture, or restoration performed. Special Attributes: Signed, First Edition, Association Copy, Tipped-in Letter.
