Good plus in a good plus dust jacket. For decades the poet Allen Ginsberg photographed the "Beat" generation and the countercultures around him. This invaluable visual history is supplemented by Ginsberg's own comments in script beneath each photograph.

Included are photographs of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Jack Cassidy, Robert Frank, and many other writers, artists, and friends. Light wear to the boards. Little sunning to the edges.

Rear board has a large but very faint water stain. Some soiling to the endpapers and pastedowns. One page with photographs near the beginning of the book has a right angle crease to the corner effecting only the white border. Photographs beautifully printed in gorgeous gravure. The dust jacket is complete with moderate wear. Many light scratches visible in the light. Evidence of a water stain to the DJ back cover.
