Signed by the author on ffep indicating the subscribers issue. In the original pictorial dust jacket designed by Hannes Bok. Is a composition of seven science-fiction tales; the title story being the basis for the film "The Thing".
Previous owner bookplate on front pastedown. Some light soiling to the boards. There is a ding to the top right section of the front cover which tore the jacket and left associated punctures to the cloth board. Jacket with archival tape repair to the verso in that area. Spine darkened with some wear to the tips.
